May Theme - Ships in the Night

Our theme for the month of May is "Ships in the Night".  The inspiration for this challenge comes from the Longfellow poem Tales of a Wayside Inn:

Ships that pass in the night and speak each other in passing;
Only a signal shown and a distant voice in the darkness;
So on the ocean of life we pass and speak one another,
Only a look and a voice; then darkness again and a silence.
          Tales of a Wayside Inn. Part iii. The Theologian’s Tale: Elizabeth. iv.

So this month you will want to create a scene with at least one ship/boat and your project should have an evening cast to it - basically dusk to dawn.

Have a look at all the wonderful Design Team inspiration and then have a go at your own "Ships in the Night" creation.

Now it is your turn to show us your wonderful "Ships in the Night" scenes.  Please make sure your creations are finished projects like cards and tags.  You may enter up to 3 times and as many challenges as you wish.  If you do not have a blog or account on Split Coast Stampers, then just email me a picture of the piece and I will add it to one of our posts.

If you are not sure what constitutes a scenic project, check out the information here.

Don't forget to add GDT to your link if you wish to be considered for a guest spot.

Have fun creating!
